ASIA BEGUM
Asia Begum (28) is wife of day-laborer Mohammad Mujibor Rahman of Takia Village under Paikagch Upzila in Khulna –District. They were having a modestly run happy family for 16 years of married life. Suddenly she fell ill with cough and fever. She was treated at Khulna General Hospital and was advised to have a throat operation. But she couldn’t do it due to acute financial hardship with passage of time her pain in throat grew worse. When taken to a doctor, she was advised to get admission in Dhaka Medical College Hospital. She begged for money from neighbors and relatives to come to Dhaka for treatment. She started staying at a distant relative’s home, who took to Dhaka Medical to carry out various tests. After operation the biopsy revealed that she was suffering from throat cancer. Her attending doctors suggested her to carry out radiotherapy. She came to know about Mosabbir Cancer Center from the doctors. Asia took shelter at the center and she has been under therapy staying here for seven weeks. She is still surviving but badly needs money to continue her treatment, which would be close to Tk. 8,000,00 per month. Kind attention of benevolent people of the society is being drawn to come forward in helping her out.

ARIFUL ISLAM
I am Mohammad Ariful Islam (15) I am a SSC candidate. I have come from village –Balshid under Shahrasti Upazila of Chandpur District. Since June last year (2013) I started feeling pain in my eyes. After having some pain killers it was found in my ey that a tumer was fast growing there. I was taken to a doctor in Comilla. There several tests were done. But the biopsy report suggested that I was having cancer. I took five rounds of chemotherapy from a doctor in Comilla. After that she referred me to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for carrying out more 25 rounds of chemotherapy. But my problem is to stay here in Dhaka during this long protocol. Neither I had the means to support nor any relative in Dhaka. Then through kind reference of my doctors I came to know about Mosabbir Cance Care Center. Getting in here, I found it was a wonderful charity dedicated for poor and helpless cancer patients like me. I am having chemotherapy staying here for eight months, thanks to the kind cooperation of all. But still I need some Tk. 9,000.00 per month to complete my treatment and I bet to some solvent and kind person to extend me this cooperation for this humanitarian cause.
